See All ReviewsA gas station off the side of the road has no business making quesabirria this solid. But Disfruta Tu Taco apparently didn't get that memo. I found this place while driving for Uber and almost kept going. Negative curb appeal. No reason to trust it. I stopped anyway because I'm either brave or stupid, and for once it worked out. The tacos were crispy, not soggy. Well fried tortilla, good amount of cheese, and the beef had a rich, savory flavor without being drowned in salt and seasoning. Generous portions with plenty of fresh cut onion and cilantro on the side. You're getting fed here. No excuses. The consomé was balanced and flavorful without being too salty. I finished the tacos and drank the rest of it. Don't judge me. The salsas actually paired well with the food, which sounds like a given but most places can't figure that out. The green was earthy and deep, nothing like the usual bright, acidic stuff. The red had real heat with flavor behind it. Only complaint is they could've given you more of each. Don't be stingy, you're doing great. One thing I want to mention. The two women behind the counter had my food ready in under five minutes. Polite, fast, no nonsense. Look at how everything is wrapped and arranged in that container. Price came out to almost $18 after tip. I've had comparable tacos for less. Quesabirria isn't a lazy dish to make, so I respect it, but my wallet has feelings too. If you want a benchmark for what good quesabirria should be, this gas station spot is it. I wasn't expecting anything and it had no right surprising me. I'll be back.
The Super Burrito (carne asada/beef) is amazing comes with rice, beans, guac, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, onion. San Diegos Tacos could never make a burrito like this
Great portion sizes, the tacos were loaded with meat for the price. The service was also fast. The tacos (pastor and asada) were good but not great, I think they were a little bland. The salsa with them was really good. So to summarize, I will be going back and they are good tacos, they just are not the best I have had.
